Worldwide press achieved for the creation of the First UK replica of

"Setting aside for a moment the tears, the bunting, the pride, the joy and the maid of honour’s bottom, one aspect of the Royal Wedding sure to linger in our collective consciousness is the gown.

Enter the replicas. A mere 24 hours after two billion people caught their first glimpses of The Gown, Northern Irish designer Mary-Rose McGrath presented her copy of Middleton’s wedding dress.

The dress, on display at House of Fraser Belfast, has a scalloped neckline and long lace sleeves clearly inspired by those seen on the Royal gown. (It’s available to order at House of Fraser.)

McGrath’s dress may be the first high street replica, but it’s far from alone. Affianced readers with princess bride dreams can also look to US label ABS by Allen Schwartz. Known for copying celeb looks as soon as they hit the red carpet, Schwartz plans to retail a ‘tribute’ gown for around $900 from June.

One bride in Suzhou, China—nicknamed ‘Wedding Dress City’ for its 1,200 gown factories—clearly couldn’t wait that long. She wed in a Middleton-esque model 36 hours after the Royal Wedding.

So much for Waity Katie..."
